Hunger and Nutrition Programs
The Bay Ridge Center, in partnership with the Food Bank of New York
and CityMeals on Wheels, operates an emergency food pantry serving
over 8,000 families and individuals a year. There is no financial
resource test for recipients. If a person is hungry, we will help.
The Bay Ridge Center also serves the hungry and the homeless who
just need a meal. Our Brown Bag Lunch program provided more than
9,000 meals to the needy last year.
During the holidays, the Bay Ridge Center distributes dozens of ham
and turkey dinners to needy families.

Community Partners and Volunteers
The Bay Ridge Center could not function without the help of scores
of volunteers. Volunteers visit and shop for homebound seniors. They
help deliver meals and assist with the food pantry. Area businesses
and civic organizations are strong supporters of the Bay Ridge Center.
At the same time, many of the Center’s staff are active volunteers
in the community, supporting many local, citywide and national causes.
We are partners together in service to the Bay Ridge community. |
